Cards That Yield Bonus Points For Dining

This post will focus on some of the point credit cards (not cash reward credit cards) that yield bonus points when you use them at restaurants.  Much of our entertainment is in the form of going out to eat.  As well, many nights, our family’s schedule makes it difficult  to cook.  (But I try!).  We often end up ordering in take-out.  If this sounds like you,  you could be using a credit card that is yielding you more than a 1:1 ratio when you are using it at a restaurant.

American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card-Starting June 1, 2015, you earn 2 Membership Rewards points for every $1 you spend on dining (US restaurants only).  Learn More About The Card Here.

 Chase Freedom card-if it is a quarter in which restaurants are a Freedom bonus category, if you use this card for restaurants, you earn 5 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on up to $1,500 spent in bonus categories each quarter. So there is a maximum of 7,500 Ultimate Rewards points to earn in a quarter.
