Citi ThankYou Premier Card
I have been looking at the Citi ThankYou Premier Card for some time. However, I will not apply at this time because Rob and I recently applied for and got a number of credit cards because of big sign up bonus offers and I honestly don’t know if I will be approved at this time. I also recently got my Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard. So maybe I will apply in a few months……
But I like this card for a number of reasons. First, it has an attractive sign up bonus. The current offer is here. The $95 annual fee is waived the first year.
Next, you earn three (3) ThankYou points for every $1 you spend on dining and entertainment (think concerts, theater, movies, etc.). You earn two (2) ThankYou points per dollar spent on Airfare, Hotels and Travel Agencies, and you earn one (1) Point per dollar spent on all other purchases.
Once you start earning ThankYou points, you can start redeeming points for merchandise and travel, tickets, gift certificates etc. Or you can redeem ThankYou points for cash in the form of checks in $50 or $100 denominations.
Also, similar to Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards, you can transfer Citi ThankYou points to ThankYou Travel Partners. Most notably, you can get 1,500 Honors Bonus Points for 1,000 Citi ThankYou points. Here is the link to view Citi ThankYou’s other travel partners.

Unlike the Premier card above, you cannot transfer Citi ThankYou points to ThankYou Travel Partners. 🙁
