The transfer request should include the transferring Member’s iPrefer Member Number, the transferee iPrefer Member’s iPrefer Member Number, and the number of iPrefer Points the transferring iPrefer Member wants to transfer to the transferee iPrefer Member.  Oddly, the terms do not state a minimum or maximum amount that can be transferred.

Rob Just Got The American Express Hilton HHonors Card With A 70,000 Bonus Point Offer

Unknown-3

There is a 70,000 bonus point offer right now for the American Express Hilton HHonors card.  You need to spend $1,000 in the first 3 months to get the bonus.  If you click on the regular link, it does not bring you to the 70,000 point offer page.  Instead, click this link here for the offer.

I have had this card in the past (Amex canceled it on me), so I am not eligible to receive this sign-up bonus if I apply for the card again.  But guess who has never had this card?  Rob….

I could not pass up the offer and applied for him and he was instantly approved.  We await the card in the mail and this will be an easy 70,000 points to earn.  Also don’t forget, Rob also just got a Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature card with a 75,000 Hilton HHonors bonus point offer.  I am really excited to have all of these Hilton HHonors points to play with!!!!

With the card, there is no annual fee and you earn points on spending as follows:
1. Earn 7x points per $1 spent at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.

2. Earn 5X points per $1 spent at restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations

3. Earn 3X points per $1 for all other eligible purchases on your Card

Rob Just Got A Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard

Remember I told you that I got an enticing offer on one of my inter-island flights on Hawaiian Airlines this past December?

It was an in-flight offer only- to get the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard with a bonus of 50,000 HawaiianMiles instead of the current offer of 35,000 miles.  I handed in both an application for both Rob and myself on our final Hawaiian Airlines flight on December 30th.  (The offer expired 1/1/16).

Unfortunately, no one at Hawaiian Airlines nor Barclays Bank can help locate my application and after many calls and emails, I am taking this one as a loss.  Oh well, if I really want the card one day, I will have to settle for the regular 35,000 mile bonus.

But no one lost Rob’s application and his new card came in the mail just the other day.  He needs to spend $1,000 within the first 3 months to get the 50,000 bonus miles.  Since I really want to go back to Hawaii one day, this will be a nice jump start to accumulate HawaiianMiles.

Save On American Express Gift Cards

5277665_B2C_PROSPECT_GENERAL_PROMO_heroUsually I get this targeted offer from American Express during the holiday season.  But I received an offer from Amex today that expires April 30, 2016.  The offer is for American Express Gift Cards with no purchase fees.  (The purchase fee is usually 3.95 per card.).  I have never received this offer from Amex at this time of year before and unfortunately I am not in the market for gift cards, so I will pass.  But thanks anyway Amex.

A Complimentary Lounge In Each Airport

th

Posted 2/22/2016

Thank you to my American Express Business Platinum card for giving me and my family access to the Airspace Lounge at JFK and the Centurion Lounge at McCarran in Las Vegas.  Don’t forget, complimentary lounge access is one of the benefits of the American Express Platinum cards.

At the Airspace lounge, there was not much food out, but we got a card with a $10 per person credit (so $50), which we could use to order off the lounge menu.  We shared a bunch of apps that definitely came out to more than $50, but they did not ask for any additional money for the excess over 50!  Thanks!  The lounge was really small, but still better than the regular waiting area.  We had lots of outlets for charging and private bathrooms.

The Centurion Lounge in contrast was huge.  Dinner was being served in the lounge but we had already eaten, so instead we had hot chocolate and cookies.  Next time I know not to eat prior to our visit.  We had our own living room like area with comfy chairs and outlets in the floor at our feet.  This was my first time in a Centurion Lounge and I was really impressed.  Hope I get the opportunity to visit one again in the future.
