Last night I was on my Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu to Kona (remember, we traveled to Hawaii for free). While on the flight, I got an enticing offer that I just may take advantage of. It is an in-flight offer only- to get the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard with a bonus of 50,000 HawaiianMiles instead of the current offer of 35,000 miles. The written application needs to be handed back into the flight attendants by January 1, which works for me because I fly home from Hawaii on December 30th. I think I may apply for one for Rob as well. I want to come back to Hawaii one day!!
I have been on flights before where there is an announcement reminding you about the airline’s brand card or thanking you for being a cardmember. But this is the first time where I have seen an extra in-flight application incentive. It is actually a good idea to target people who are on the flight, that is, strike while the iron is hot. They most likely swayed me!
