It is time to choose or change your airline selection for the $200 American Express Platinum and the Business Platinum Airline Fee Credit benefit for 2016 as well as your $100 statement credit that comes with the American Express Premier Rewards Gold card. I chose American Airlines, as we are going to Jackson Hole in February on American and will likely have excess baggage fees due to all of our ski equipment. With the $200/$100 Airline Fee Credit benefit, you can receive up to $200/$100 per calendar year in statement credits when incidental fees are charged by your selected airline to your Platinum/Gold card account. Incidental fees covered by this benefit include:
• Airport lounge day-passes
• Checked bags
• In-flight refreshments
• Flight-change fees
• Overweight/oversize baggage fees
You can choose a qualifying airline for 2017, until January 31, 2017.
Also don’t forget, if you have a American Express Business Platinum, you can get 50% Membership Rewards points back when you use the Pay with Points feature for all or part of a flight with this same airline that you select.
