Wow…Amex is giving pretty big incentives for those of us who are referring Amex cards to people who are getting approved.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to refer my mother to the American Express Gold Card despite the $250 fee. Because $250 is surely worth….
- 25,000 Membership Rewards Points for each approved referral – up to 55,000 Membership Rewards points per calendar year. (She was approved.)
- 60,000 points for my mother when she spends $4k on the card within 3 months (I will help her 🙂 )
- AND because I referred my mom between October 1 and October 28, I will get 3 more Membership Rewards Points per dollar I spend for three months. So that means I will now get 7x Membership Rewards points on all dining and grocery purchases with my Gold Card. What?
