Southwest started off 2021 the right way with the following updates regarding A-List and Companion Pass status!

For current A-List and A-List Preferred Members, SW had extended your current earned status through December 31, 2021.

-For current Companion Pass Members, last year SW had extended your earned in 2019 Companion Pass benefits through June 30, 2021 (instead of 12/3/20) and they are now extending your benefits another six months. So now you will have Companion Pass through December 31, 2021.

-For all Rapid Rewards Members, you will be getting 15,000 tier qualifying points, 25,000 Companion Pass qualifying points, 10 qualifying flight credits toward A-List and A-List Preferred and 25 qualifying flights toward Companion Pass. These adjustments are automatic and will appear shortly.

Also, don’t forget, you can earn Tier Qualifying points by using your Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Card and the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Card and the Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card and the Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Business Card. Normally, you receive 1,500 TQPs for every $10,000 in purchases on your card and the maximum amount of TQPs you can receive is 15,000 ($100,000 in purchases) per year. But now, through the last statement of 2021 (the “promotion period”) there is no cap on how many TQPs you can earn toward A-List and A-List Preferred. That means you can earn A-List or A-List Preferred purely by using your Rapid Rewards Credit Card.
