Chase has an interesting offer with its  Freedom Unlimited Card.  There is no sign up bonus offer.  Instead, you have the ability to earn an unlimited 3% cash back on every purchase each month for your first year.  If you have a heavy year of credit card spending coming up and think you will be offered a nice credit line, you may want to consider this offer.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Now Open!
If we look at the numbers, the standard offer with the Unlimited card is to Earn $150 cash back or 15,000 Ultimate Rewards Points after you make $500 in purchases in your first 3 months from account opening and you earn 1.5% back on all purchases thereafter.  So you would be giving up these 15,000 points to earn an extra 1.5% back for 12 months.  That calculates to be $10,000 in spend.  So if you think that you will spend at least $10,000 on this card over the next 12 months, this offer works out better for you.

Even though there is no sign-up bonus offer, you still earn a $25 cash back BONUS or 2,500 Ultimate Rewards points when you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase within this same 3-month period as above. The card has NO ANNUAL FEE.

As a member, you now get better savings when you book direct.

Recall, with the card, your Cash Back Rewards are tracked as points in the Chase Ultimate Rewards program. Your redemption options depend on whether you have other Chase Ultimate Rewards card as follows…

Cash Back-Your points can be redeemed for cash back. When you use points to redeem for cash, each point is worth $0.01 (one cent), which means that 100 points equals $1 in redemption value.

Ultimate Rewards-Your points can be redeemed as Ultimate Rewards if you also have the Chase Ink Business Preferred card, Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve.   Learn about the Chase Ultimate Rewards Program here.
