You can now activate your 5% cash back/5 Ultimate Rewards points per $ spent in bonus categories on your Chase Freedom card. You need to activate by March 14, 2018.
The 1st quarter bonus categories are gas stations and internet/phone and cable services, as well as purchases made with Chase Pay, Apply Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay.
Don’t forget, with the Chase Freedom card, you always earn unlimited 1% cash back/1 point per $ spent on all other purchases.
Now, keep track of your category spending to. If you click on your Ultimate Rewards points at the top right of the site (after you log in), you will get a drop down option of your Freedom card with “Rewards Activity”. If you click that, you will see how much you have spent for that quarter and can figure out when you are close to the $1500.
