Another swim meet and another delay. Not more than a few months back, Jessie and I were delayed all day in North Carolina due to fog in New York. This time we find ourselves at JFK delayed from 7:30 to 10:10. Flights have been delayed all day due to weather.
And once again, thank you to my American Express Business Platinum card for giving me and Jessie access to the Airspace Lounge at JFK. a much more comfortable and less chaotic place to wait for our flight. Don’t forget, complimentary lounge access is one of the benefits of the American Express Platinum cards.
We actually were at this same lounge back in February, when we went to Vegas. Again, at this AirSpace Lounge there is not much food out, but we got a card with a $10 per person credit (so $20), which we could use to order off the lounge menu. We each had tomato soup and shared an app. I owed about $4.00 after the card was applied. The lounge, although small, is still better than the regular waiting area. We have lots of outlets for charging and private bathrooms. But, it is going to be a long night.
