For years the sign-up bonus for the Chase Hyatt Visa has been 2 free nights at any category Hyatt property. The problem, to me, however was that these 2 free nights had a 1 year expiration date.
Years back, I got the card and took advantage of the offer on a stay in Bonita Springs, FL. I later found it more difficult to use Rob’s free nights (he got the card too). We did ultimately use them, but the stays were forced.
Hyatt card appliers, you do not have to worry any longer about being able to use your free nights. Beginning June 29, 2017, Chase is changing the offer to 40,000 World Of Hyatt points after spending $2,000 within the first 3 months. In addition, as with all Chase cards, you can also get 5,000 bonus points when you add your first authorized user to your account and make a purchase with your card during the same 3 month period as above.
The annual fee is $75. As for spending, you earn 3 points per $1 spent at all Hyatt properties, 2 points per $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, and at car rental agencies and 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases made with your card
You receive 1 free night every year after your cardmember anniversary at any Category 1-4 property. There are no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.
