Capital One has added a new benefit for its cardmembers.
If you have the Venture X, you can access all the lounges run by the Plaza Premium Group. The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses in both Newark and JFK are included in this group of lounges. Here is the list of all the lounges you can enter. Capital One Eligible Lounges | Plaza Premium Lounge. You can also bring in 2 guests for free.
Also, if you have authorized users on the account (which is free, there are no additional cardholder fees), they, as additional cardmembers, have the same lounge access AND get 2 guests too. So if you are a family of more than 3, you should definitely add a FREE additional user if you foresee wanting to gain lounge access as a family.
If you have the Venture or Spark Miles card, you receive two complimentary visits per year to Plaza Premium Lounges or Capital One Lounges. You can pass these 2 annual visits to your authorized users or account managers. You can also use both at the same time if you want to bring in a guest with you for free.
After your 2 free annual visits, you can purchase lounge passes at a discounted rate of $45 (for all other people it is $65).
