Why I love this card…
The card has a $95 annual fee. You earn unlimited 2X miles on every purchase. You pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States. You receive one Global Entry ($100) statement credit or one TSA Pre✓ ($85) statement credit every 4 years for an application fee charged to your card. You can redeem your miles using the purchase eraser feature and transfer your Cap One Miles to various airline partners.
IMO, the best thing about Capital One Miles is that you can redeem them for travel (at the favorable rate of 1 cent per point) for ANY TRAVEL, you just pay for travel with your card and “erase” your travel purchase. Compare this with Chase or Amex points where you are limited to using your points as $ thru their travel portals.
This 75,000 bonus is worth at least $750 and possibly even more if you use the transfer feature. Right now Capital One’s transfer partners are Accor, Aeromexico, Air France, Air Canada, Asia Miles, Avianca, British Air, Choice Hotels, Emirates, Etihad, Eva, Finnair, Quantas, Singapore, TAP, Turkish Air, and Virgin Red. Most transfers are at the rate of 1:1 with some periodic bonuses sprinkled in.
