Similar to a recent Marriott Rewards change, IHG is making a change to its IHG Rewards Club program as well. Starting in May 2016, all of your points will expire, if there’s no account activity in the prior 12 months. You need to earn or redeem once a year through any IHG hotels and partners or through the IHG Rewards Club Catalog. Note, this change is a bit more strict than Marriott in that Marriott’s gives you 24 months of non-activity before your points expire.
