Email of 3/29 Re Merger

imagesI received the following email from American about the merger….

As you requested, we’re working to transfer your Dividend Miles® mileage balance, Preferred-qualifying activity and million mile balance into your AAdvantage account on a one-to-one ratio.

Merging your accounts will take several days, and you’ll receive another email when everything is combined. Until then, you’ll only see your AAdvantage account balance on aa.com and usairways.com.

Here’s what’s new:

Your account

“Once your accounts are combined, you can log in to your account on aa.com or usairways.com using your AAdvantage credentials.

Earning & redeeming

We’ll make sure you get credit for all the miles you earn during this transition, even if your Dividend Miles number was listed in your reservation or with a partner.

Moving forward, use your AAdvantage number when you book travel with us, and with partners, travel agencies and in corporate booking tools.

You can redeem your miles on aa.com or with AAdvantage reservations. And, you can use them for upgrades on American and US Airways, car rentals, hotel stays and more.

Traveling with us

We’ll continue to operate as two separate airlines with separate websites, mobile sites and apps until later this year. Until then, policies including same-day flight change and standby will vary by airline. You can still book travel on both websites. And, you should continue to check in and manage your trips with the airline operating your flight.”
