Earning And Accumulating Marriott/SPG Points

Become A Member Of The Marriott/SPG Points Program Here

 

1. Visit a Resort and Spend $

Members of the Marriott/SPG Program earn Points for every eligible dollar spent at Marriott, SPG and Ritz Carlton Resorts. You earn ten (10) base Points per $1 spent at most properties.  At Element, Residence Inn, and TownePlace Suites properties, you earn five (5) base Points for each dollar spent.

These dollars can be spent on hotel stays (your room and and up to 2 additional guest rooms), and even on spa and restaurant charges and other incidentals even if you are not staying at the hotel. (Exceptions apply).  Marriott/SPG Elite members earn a bonus points on base points.  Silver Elite members earn a 10% point bonus, Gold Elite members earn a 25% point bonus, Platinum Elite members earn a 50% bonus and Platinum Premier Elite and Platinum Premier Elite With Ambassador members earn a 75% point bonus.

2. Use one of your Chase Marriott Rewards cards or your American Express SPG cards

With a Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card, you earn…….

6 points for every $1 spent at all Marriott properties (including Ritz) and Starwood properties
2 points for every $1 on all purchases

With a Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card (not available to new cardmembers), you earn…….

5 points for every $1 spent at all Marriott properties and Starwood properties
2 points for every $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline and at car rental agencies and restaurants
1 point for every $1 spent anywhere else you use the card.

With the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Business card, you earn…….

5 points for every $1 spent at all Marriott properties
2 points for every $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline and at car rental agenciesrestaurants, at office supply stores, and for Internet, cable and phone services purchases. and 1 point for every $1 spent anywhere else you use the card.

With a Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express you earn

Points per $1 spent at Marriott Resorts (including Ritz Carlton Resorts) and SPG Resorts and 2 Points for every dollar you spend on all your other purchases.

With a Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express card you earn

Points per $1 spent at Marriott Resorts (including Ritz Carlton Resorts) and SPG Resorts and 4 Points at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers and on U.S. purchases for shipping and 2 Points on all other eligible purchases

With a Starwood Preferred Guest Luxury Credit Card from American Express card you earn

Points per $1 spent at Marriott Resorts (including Ritz Carlton Resorts) and SPG Resorts and 3 Points at U.S. restaurants and on flights booked directly with airlines.                                                            2 Points on all other eligible purchases

3. Transfer points from you Chase Ultimate Rewards account

If you are a Chase Ultimate Rewards member you can transfer you can  transfer your Ultimate Rewards points, in 1,000-point increments, to your Marriott/SPG Rewards account. Your points always transfer at 1:1 value. That means one point equals one Marriott/SPG Point.

4. Transfer points from your American Express Membership Rewards account

If you are an American Express Membership Rewards member you can transfer your Membership Rewards points, in 1,000-point increments, to your Starwood Preferred Guest account. Your points transfer at 1:1 value. That means one American Express Membership Rewards points equals one Marriott/SPG Point.
