With the Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite MasterCard, and the AAdvantage Aviator Silver MasterCard, you receive a companion certificate good for 1 guest at $99 (plus taxes and fees), issued each year after your account anniversary when you spend $20,000 or more on eligible purchases and your card account remains open for at least 45 days after the anniversary date.
With the Red card, you also earn a companion certificate, good for 1 guest at $99 (plus taxes and fees) after making your first purchase in the first 90 days and paying the $99 annual fee.
With the AAdvantage Aviator Business MasterCard, you receive a companion certificate good for 1 guest at $99 (plus taxes and fees), issued each year after your account anniversary when you spend $30,000 or more on eligible purchases and your card account remains open for at least 45 days after the anniversary date.
Normally, those companion certificates expire within a year. However, due to Covid-19, existing AAdvantage Aviator Red, Silver and Business cardmembers who hold a companion certificate with an expiration date between 3/31/2020 and 5/31/2021 will be extended through 06/30/21.
Also, AAdvantage Aviator Red cardmembers who hold an old flight discount certificate with an expiration date between 3/31/20 and 5/31/21 will receive a 6-month extension from the current date of expiration for redemption.
