One lucrative perk of the Citi ThankYou Prestige Card is the $250 Statement Credit for travel purchases each year. This $250 statement credit is an annual benefit that expires on December 31 each year. Travel Purchases are defined as purchases made within the travel category, including purchases from airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, travel agencies/travel aggregators/tour operators, commuter transportation, ferries, commuter railways, subways, taxis/limousines/car services, passenger railways, cruise lines, bridge and road tolls, parking lots/garages, and bus lines.
But because of Covid-19, we are not really traveling and many are no longer commuting. Citibank, being sensitive to the fact that many of us will not be able to use the travel credit in 2020, has expanded the credit so that it now covers dining purchases and supermarkets.
