Booking Hotels On Points In Vegas

I have been doing a bit of Vegas research lately because I am thinking that we may be headed there for February break, 2016.  In my research, I have learned that many of the big named Vegas hotels are actually affiliated with one of the big hotel chains and can be booked using that hotel’s points.

Hyatt Gold Passport (Now World Of Hyatt) has teamed up with M life Resorts which means that you can redeem your points at 12 M life Resorts on The Strip.  At the time of this post, these resorts include ARIA, Bellagio, Vdara, MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Signature at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, DELANO LAS VEGAS, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur.  If you are not using points to stay at an M life Resort, make sure you earn Hyatt Gold Passport points on your eligible spend and all of your stays will count toward your Hyatt Gold Passport tier status.  Your M life stay can be booked on hyatt.com.

Starwood Preferred Guest members can redeem Starpoints for stays at participating Caesars Entertainment hotels.  At the time of this post, these include CAESARS PALACE, THE CROMWELL, THE LINQ HOTEL & CASINO, PLANET HOLLYWOOD, BALLY’S LAS VEGAS, RIO ALL-SUITE HOTEL & CASINO, HARRAH’S LAS VEGAS, NOBU HOTEL, PARIS LAS VEGAS, and the FLAMINGO LAS VEGAS.  If you are not using points, registered SPG members earn 2 Starpoints for every eligible $1 charged to their hotel folio at Caesars Entertainment hotels (in addition to Reward Credits earned through Total Rewards, Caesars Entertainment’s own loyalty program).  Plus, registered SPG members earn credit toward SPG elite qualification for redeemed and paid Caesars Entertainment stays, up to 10 nights per calendar year.  SPG Platinum members can take advantage of VIP Access at Caesars Entertainment hotels in Las Vegas – VIP Line for hotel check-in, casino cages, select restaurants, entertainment venues, nightclubs, and more.

IHG Rewards Club members can stay at the Venetian and the Palazzo, which can be booked with IHG rewards club points.  In fact, this is the hotel I have my sights set on and to further us along, I just applied for and got the Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card.  I will get 70,000 Bonus Points!, after I spend $1,000 in the first 3 months.  You can also earn IGH Rewards points when staying at the Venetian.
