I am heading back to Palmetto Bluff, SC for the third year in a row for a long and luxurious weekend with 6 of my BFFs from high school. We are set with a place to stay as one of my fortunate friends owns a home in this beautiful waterfront golf community. However, I still needed to book my flight down to Savannah.
Luckily, I had a nice balance of JetBlue TrueBlue points.
I found a direct flight on JetBlue in and out of JFK for 41,900 JetBlue TrueBlue Points. The cost of the flight would have been $488.60.
As for my value calculation (did I lose value?), I actually did lose a little value on this redemption. Recent valuations assign JetBlue TrueBlue points a value of 1.3 cents per point. My 41,900 points that I used can be valued at $544.70. My flight would have cost $489. So I lost about $56 in value. Oh well. Sometimes I gain and sometimes I lose.
