I called American Express back in December to find out how I make my selection for the category that will earn the 3x points. They told me, that I would receive something to remind me. I never did.
I called them again today, and literally within 2 minutes, I had an email confirming advertising as my selection. Don’t forget we use this card a lot for advertising! The nice man who I spoke to felt bad about the fact that I needed to reach out to Amex. For my “troubles”, he deposited 8,000 Membership Rewards points into Rob’s account.
