When you join the Icelandair Saga Club, you are a Saga Club member. Additionally, the program offers Saga Silver and Saga Gold Membership. Your status is determined by the number of Tier Credits you earn for a flight with Icelandair as well with their partner airlines, Air Iceland Connect, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue.
Saga Silver Status-When you have earned 40,000 Tier Credits within a 12 month period you are upgraded to Saga Silver.
Saga Gold Status-When you have earned 80,000 Tier Credits within a 12 month period you are upgraded to Saga Gold.
Tier Credits expires after 12 months. To renew status each year, Saga Silver members only have to earn 30,000 Tier Credits and Saga Gold members 70,000 Tier Credits within their “card” validity period, which is 12 months, to renew their status for another year.
Additionally, Saga Silver members earn 10% more Tier Credits and Saga Gold members 20% more for Icelandair flights to help them keep their status.
