We learned last year that FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, would soon be joining French company, AccorHotels.

As a Fairmont President’s Club member, I now received this email…

Dear Cindy,
Today marks an exciting new chapter for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as this iconic brand officially joins AccorHotels, one of the world’s largest global hotel companies.
Since last year’s announcement, many of you have asked what this news will mean for current and future Fairmont President’s Club benefits, and how it will impact your ability to continue to experience this unrivalled collection of luxury hotels.
For now, your current membership in Fairmont President’s Club and any upcoming reservations, including reward redemptions, remain unchanged. AccorHotels and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts share the same commitment – to provide you with world-class service and meaningful travel experiences on every stay.
AccorHotels operates in more than 95 countries, and with the addition of the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel brands, will grow to an extensive collection of recognized luxury, midscale and economy brands – including Sofitel, MGallery by Sofitel, Pullman and Novotel – and more than 4,000 hotels and resorts globally.
Over the coming months we will be working to leverage the AccorHotels platform to enhance your experience with Fairmont. Our goal is to continue to provide and refine the benefits, personalized services and experiences you expect from Fairmont President’s Club. This will include opportunities to discover AccorHotels’ extensive portfolio of properties around the world and access to the Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program, which was recently awarded with 5 Freddie Awards – the most prestigious member-generated awards in the travel loyalty industry.
As your loyalty is valuable to us, we promise to keep you updated on changes being made to the program. We appreciate your input and would enjoy hearing from you during this process.
If you have any questions, we’d be pleased to help. You can contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for being a member of Fairmont President’s Club. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our hotels soon.
Sincerely,
Sébastien Bazin
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, AccorHotels

Accorhotels has its own loyalty program Le Club Accorhotels.  Farimont technically does not have its own loyalty program, but rather a recognition program, Fairmont President’s Club.  In addition, Chase offers Fairmont Rewards through it’s credit card.   It STILL remains to be seen as to how the relationship between the programs will play out.
