Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card And Me

We, as a family, have never stayed at a Ritz.  However, we do check them out a lot when we are on vacation.  We like to compare them to where we are staying.  They almost always win. 🙂

For me personally, the Ritz hotels are too pricey and even for a point stay, they require too many points per night.  My kids are young.  They won’t appreciate it.  Maybe when they are older and can appreciate a true luxury hotel, we will stay at a Ritz.  For now, we are good using our points and staying generally at Starwood Resorts, Hyatts and Marriotts.  (Despite the fact, we ALL loved our stay at the St Regis in Miami–so who knows–maybe a Ritz will be in our future sooner than later 🙂 )

However, if you frequent Ritz hotels often, a good card for you would be the Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card.

There are many nice features of this card, however, if your primary goal is to accumulate Ritz Carlton Rewards points and stay for free on points, I should note 2 things.  1.  You can book a Ritz hotel on points using your Marriott Rewards points.  You can read more about this here.  2.  Ritz is a Chase Ultimate Rewards Partner and the other cards that Chase offers like the Chase Sapphire Preferred offer many more extra point earning ability on everyday spending.  It is better to use a card like that for everyday purchases if you are just going for point accumulation.
