For all of you out there (Including myself) who, due to the merger, were concerned as to the fate of your American Express Starwood Preferred Guest cards, fear no more!
Yesterday, Marriott announced that Chase AND American Express will remain credit-card issuers for the new ultimate combined loyalty program. Marriott signed co-brand credit card agreements with both banks and all of your Amex Starwood cards, Chase Marriott cards and Chase Ritz cards are safe for the time being.
We can also look forward to some new co-branded products (cards) in 2018 “with enhanced member benefits – super-premium consumer and small business co-branded products from American Express and mass consumer and premium consumer co-branded products from JPMorgan Chase”.
Yay, all I read above is there may be more sign-up bonus opportunities. The details about the new cards will be released at some point in 2018. I can’t wait!
