The combined Marriott/SPG Program offers 5 distinct brands of hotels. I am only going to focus on those brands that participate in the Marriott/SPG Program. These brands are as follows:
Luxury-this brand includes Ritz Carlton Resorts, St. Regis Resorts, JW Marriott Resorts, the SPG Luxury Collection, W Hotels and Edition Hotels.
Premium-this brand includes Marriott, Sheraton, Marriott Vacation Club, Delta, Le Meridien, Westin, Renaissance and Gaylord hotels.
Collections-this brand includes Autograph Collection, Design Hotels, and the Tribute Portfolio.
Select-this brand includes Courtyard, Four Points, SpringHill, Protea, Fairfield, AC Hotels, Aloft and Moxy hotels.
Longer Stays-this brand (of apartments) includes Marriott Executive Apartments, Residence Inn, Towneplace Suites, and Element Hotels.
Each of the above brands can have resorts in Categories 1-7. There will be a category 8 level in 2019. Don’t forget until 2019, you can book category 8 hotels and category 7 levels.
