The Points Mom

Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Elite Status

Learn About The Marriott Bonvoy Program Here

If you can achieve Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Elite Status your Marriott Bonvoy points will never expire and you will receive your benefits FOREVER!

Lifetime status is based on the total number of years you’ve been Elite, along with the number of nights you’ve earned collectively throughout your time as a member of Marriott Bonvoy (including your time as a member in the programs that were once Marriott Rewards, Ritz Carlton Rewards and SPG). More specifically, members can earn Lifetime Elite Status through the following criteria:

●     Lifetime Silver Elite: 250 Qualifying Nights + 5 Years as Silver Elite or higher
●     Lifetime Gold Elite: 400 Qualifying Nights + 7 Years as Gold Elite or higher
●     Lifetime Platinum Elite: 600 Qualifying Nights + 10 Years as Platinum Elite or higher

Note, when talking about the “years” requirement, the only years that count towards the requirement are the years that elite status was actually achieved.  So for example, if you become Gold during 2019 which will last through 2020, only 2019 counts as a year to be used in meeting the above criteria. (unless of course you separately meet the requirements for Gold again in 2020).

Note, when a Platinum Elite Member has achieved fifty (50) eligible Elite Night Credits annually, they are eligible to receive one (1) additional Choice benefit which includes

Five (5) Suite Night Awards

40% off bed

$100 Charity Donation

The gift of Silver Elite status for a friend or family member

Five (5) Elite Night Credits

However, a Lifetime Member will not receive this additional Choice benefit without earning the 50 annual nights.
