I recently took advantage of an offer that I received through my American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Business card. With the offer I can earn 10,000 bonus Starpoints, if I spend $10,000 on the card by June 30, 2017. So essentially, I will be earning double SPG points on my purchases, up to $10,000, through June 30.
I decided to take advantage of this offer because I really need Marriott points for our upcoming stay in Paris this Christmas. If I earn 20,000 SPG points ($10,000 spend x 2), I can transfer these SPG points to my Marriott Rewards account at a 1:3 ratio. That is, these 20,000 Starpoints will yield me 60,000 Marriott Rewards points. As I just found out, it is really easy to transfer between the two accounts.
Luckily (or unluckily), I am not done with my monthly camp payments. Guess which credit card these payments will go on now? 🙂
