A Fun And Exciting 24 Hours In DC

Rob was admitted to the Supreme Court a few weeks ago and we got to sit in the courtroom with 6 judges on the bench.  We heard 3 opinions (2 by Ginsburg and one by Kavanaugh) and had a brief meet and greet with Justice Ginsburg.  Needless to say, it was an incredible experience and one I will not likely forget anytime soon.

We had flown for free and also used one of my IHG free nights to stay.  You can read all about the details of our free flights and night here.

Of course, while we were in the city, I made sure to check out some of the local dining spots.  We headed to 8th Street with its abundance of restaurants and bars and had dinner at the Capitol Hill location of Brick Lane, followed by pop tarts for dessert at Ted’s Bulletin.  We took some pop tarts to go for the kids back home.  We had lunch prior to flying home at Central (Chef Michel Richard) where we people watched for some DC power players but didn’t recognize anyone, bummer!

We spent the afternoon in the Delta lounge at Dulles as Rob and I each have an American Express Platinum ( I have a personal and Rob has a business one) which gets us in.

It was a really fun and exciting 24 hours!
