You can now activate your 5% cash back/5 Ultimate Rewards points per $ spent in bonus categories on your Chase Freedom card. You need to activate by December 14, 2018.
The 4th quarter bonus categories are department stores, wholesale clubs and purchases made using Chase Pay.
Don’t forget, with the Chase Freedom card, you always earn unlimited 1% cash back/1 point per $ spent on all other purchases.
Now, keep track of your category spending too. If you click on your Ultimate Rewards points at the top right of the site (after you log in), you will get a drop down option of your Freedom card with “Rewards Activity”. If you click that, you will see how much you have spent for that quarter and can figure out when you are close to the $1500.
