Another Puppy, Another Destroyed Shoe And Another Amazing Amex Remedy

I would actually kill Cooper if he wasn’t so adorable and I didn’t love him so much.

I have recently become obsessed with Hokas, these cushiony, comfortable sneakers that also make me taller.  I got colored ones, plain black ones and most recently, hiking ones.  Unfortunately, I was careless one day and didn’t place the hiking ones out of my new puppy’s reach when I took them off. Cooper sneakily took one and ruined my shoe!

But wait, hadn’t I just ordered these new hiking shoes within the last few months?  Why, yes, as a matter of fact, I ordered them on April 8th, just 2 months ago.  The card that I had used was my American Express Blue Business Plus Credit Card, a card that I love to use because I receive 2X Membership Rewards points on ANY PURCHASE, like Hokas.

So, for the second time in three years, I was to use my American Express Purchase Protection benefit.  Ironically, the last time I used it was when my other dog Rambo, who was then a puppy, ate Daniel’s Timberland.

Recall, the American Express 90 day purchase protection plan protects purchases against loss, theft or accidental damage (ie-dog damage) for 90 days from purchase. As you can imagine, this can be an invaluable benefit for those of us with kids (or irresponsible adults!) that lose and/or break some of the very expensive items that we buy them, at least for 90 days.

Just like last time, it could not have been any easier or pleasant for me in dealing with Amex about this claim.  In fact, I had the credit for $150 in my account just ONE DAY after speaking with the Amex rep.  I didn’t even need to fill out any forms like I needed to last time.

Thank you Amex, I love you almost as much as I love Cooper. 🙂
