Back in March, Rob downgraded his Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard to a no fee version. I just did the same.
My $89 fee on the card was coming due and I do not really use it. I called Barclaycard and I was able to downgrade my card to a no fee Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard. This card used to be available to the public, but now is only offered as a downgrade. Don’t forget, downgrading is a good alternative to canceling a card and I have done it often.
I also got a cherry on top. If I use my new downgraded card to make just one purchase in any amount, I will get 1000 miles (so about $10). Sweet!
