Earn Points on Spending

1. Earn 5% back Amazon Points at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Markets with an eligible Prime membership (otherwise you earn 3% Back) OR you can have the option of applying 90 day terms for payment. Note, you will not earn 5% Back rewards on any purchase to which you apply 90 day payment terms.

2. Earn 2% points back at U.S. restaurants, U.S. gas stations, and wireless telephone services purchased from U.S. service providers.

3. Earn 1% points back on all other purchases

No Foreign Transaction Fees

Pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.

Card Rewards

Earn a % back on your purchase in the form of Amazon points which you can redeem for items when you shop at Amazon.com. You can also redeem your points for cash back, gift cards, and travel. Every 100 rewards points is worth $1.

Global Assist Hotline

If you travel more than 100 miles from home, you have Global Assist Hotline available for 24/7 medical, legal, financial and other select emergency assistance and coordination services, such as medical and legal referrals, emergency cash wires, and missing luggage assistance.

Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance

When you use your card to reserve and pay for the Entire Rental and decline the collision damage waiver at the rental Company counter, you can be covered for Damage to or Theft of a Rental Vehicle in a Covered Territory. Note, there are some exclusions and restrictions and not all vehicle types or rentals are covered. Coverage is not available for vehicles rented in Australia, Italy, and New Zealand. Note, this product provides secondary coverage and does not include liability coverage.

Purchase Protection

Purchase Protection protects eligible purchases made with the Card in the event they are accidentally damaged or stolen for up to 90 days from the date of purchase.

Extended Warranty

When you use your card for eligible purchases, you can get up to one extra year added to the original manufacturer’s warranty. Applies to warranties of 5 years or less. Some exclusions apply.

Return Protection

If you try to return an eligible item within 90 days from the date of purchase and the merchant won’t take it back, American Express may refund the full purchase price (excluding shipping and handling), up to $300 per item, up to a maximum of $1,000 per calendar year per Card account, if you purchased it entirely with your eligible American Express Card.
