Card Highlights

 

Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier card is a Credit Card

With a credit card, you can carry a balance and accrue interest if necessary. Note this is not advised by me. The points game does not work well, if you are carrying a balance and accruing interest.  See #4 in Let’s Get Started To Earning Free Travel.

Annual Fee

$85

No Additional Cardholder Fees

There are no additional cardholder fees.

Earn Points on Spending

1. Earn 5 points for every $1 spent at Marriott Bonvoy Resorts

2. Earn 2 points per $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, and at car rental agencies.

3. Earn 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases made with your card

Receive an Extra Free Night

Receive 1 free night every year after your anniversary. Award can be used for one night (redemption level at or under 25,000 points) at a participating hotel.

No Foreign Transaction Fees

Pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.

Elite Membership in the Marriott Rewards Program

After account approval and every year after account anniversary, you get 15 credits toward your next Elite membership level giving you guaranteed Silver Elite status every year.  In addition, you get 1 Elite credit for every $3,000 spent.  Depending on your Elite level (silver, gold or platinum), you can enjoy even more advantages, including room upgrades, bonus points/miles and special discounts.  You can read about Marriott  Bonvoy Elite Status here.
