I feel like I learn new things all the time when playing the credit card points and miles game. Today I learned that if you cancel a Chase credit card being 180 days or more into your fiscal account year, they will not refund a prorated amount of the fee back to you. I learned this today when I downgraded my Chase Sapphire Preferred card ($95 fee) in favor of the no-fee Chase Freedom Unlimited card.
