I am heading back to Palmetto Bluff, SC for a long and luxurious weekend with 6 of my BFFs from high school. We are all turning 50 this year-ahh! I found a direct flight on JetBlue in and out of JFK for 19,500 JetBlue TrueBlue Points, a mere 20% of the points that I amassed by securing those cards. The cost of the flight would have been $262.
As for my value calculation (did I lose value?), I actually did not lose value on this redemption. Recent valuations assign JetBlue TrueBlue points a value of 1.3 cents per point. My 19,500 points that I used can be valued at $253.50. My flight would have cost $262. I actually gained value!
This weekend cannot arrive soon enough. We did it last year too so I know what is coming!
