My friend JG, who recently got 2 Hilton HHonors credit cards, inspired this post. If there is a Hilton stay in your future (and even if there isn’t), it is an easy time in which to accumulate a lot of Hilton HHonors points.
There are three very lucrative Hilton HHonors offers out there right now. American Express has 2 offers. There is a 75,000 bonus point offer for the American Express Hilton HHonors Card and a 100,000 point offer for the American Express Hilton HHonors Surpass card. Both these offers expire May 4, 2016. In addition, Citi has a 75,000 point offer for the Citibank Hilton HHonors Visa Signature card. This offer has been around for awhile, so may expire soon. Keep in mind, it is easier to get approved for more than one card from different banks.
American Express Hilton HHonors Card
Currently, when you apply for this card, you can earn 75,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the card within your first 3 months of card membership. With the card, you earn 7x points per $1 spent at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio, 5X points per $1 spent at US restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations and 3X points per $1 for all other eligible purchases on your card. This card has no annual fee. Rob recently got this card with a 70,000 bonus offer.
American Express Hilton HHonors Surpass Card
Currently, when you apply for this card, you can earn 100,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the card within your first 3 months of card membership. With the card, you earn 12x points per $1 spent at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio, 6X points per $1 spent at US restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations and 3X points per $1 for all other eligible purchases on your card. This card has a $75 annual fee, which at least for the first year is more than worth it for 100,000 points. I may go for this card soon.
Citibank Hilton HHonors Visa Signature card
Currently, when you apply for this card, you can earn 75,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points after you spend $2,000 in purchases on the card within your first 3 months of card membership. With the card, you earn 6x points per $1 spent at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio, 3X points per $1 spent at drug stores, supermarkets, gas stations and 2X points per $1 for all other eligible purchases on your card. This card has no annual fee. A new benefit with this card, is an offer for an Annual Loyalty Bonus. Now as a card member, you can earn 10,000 Hilton HHonors bonus points at the end of each calendar year in which you spend $1,000 or more on stays within the Hilton Portfolio. Lastly, you get Hilton HHonors Silver status with the card. Rob recently got this card as well.
