Hilton Honors American Express Business Card is a Credit Card

With a credit card, you can carry a balance and accrue interest if necessary. Note this is not advised by me. The points game does not work well, if you are carrying a balance and accruing interest. See #4 in Let’s Get Started To Earning Free Travel.

Card Rewards

Sign-up Bonus

Before you apply, make sure your ability to get the sign-up bonus is not limited by American Express lifetime language or the 5 card rule or the 90 day rule or the other factors language.

Annual Fee

The annual fee is $195.

No Additional Cardholder Fees

There are no additional cardholder fees.

Earn Points on Spending

1. Earn 12x points per $1 spent at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.

2.  Earn 6x points on…

-select business purchases

-at U.S. gas stations 

-on wireless telephone services purchases directly from U.S. service providers

-on U.S. purchases for shipping

-at U.S. restaurants

-on flights booked directly with airlines or with AmexTravel.com

-on car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies

3.  Earn 5x on the first $100K in purchases per calendar year, 3X Points thereafter for all other eligible purchases on your Card

No Foreign Transaction Fees

Pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.

$240 Hilton Credit

Get up to $240 back each year on eligible Hilton purchases made on your Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, with up to $60 in statement credits per quarter. 

Complimentary Gold Status

You will receive complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status with the card.

Possible Diamond Status

If in any calendar year of Card Membership your total eligible purchases on your card reach $40,000, you will be upgraded to Hilton Honors Diamond status for the remainder of the calendar year in which Diamond status was earned through the end of the next calendar year.

Priority PassSelect

You are automatically enrolled in Priority Pass Select and you get you now get 10 free lounge visits every year once enrolled.  Note, you need to enroll in Priority Pass Select within your Amex online account. Ending June 30th, 2024. 

Earn A Free Night

You will have the ability to earn a Free Night Reward after you spend $15,000 on purchases on your card in a calendar year and a second reward night after you spend $60,000 in a calendar year.

Global Assist Hotline

If you travel more than 100 miles from home, you have Global Assist Hotline available for 24/7 medical, legal, financial and other select emergency assistance and coordination services, such as medical and legal referrals, emergency cash wires, and missing luggage assistance.

Baggage Insurance Plan

You can be covered for lost, damaged, or stolen Baggage when you purchase the Entire Fare for a Common Carrier Vehicle ticket (e.g. plane, train, ship, or bus) on your card. Coverage can be provided for up to $1,250 for carry-on Baggage and up to $500 for checked Baggage. For New York State residents, there is a $10,000 aggregate maximum limit for all Covered Persons per Covered Trip.

Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance

When you use your card to reserve and pay for the Entire Rental and decline the collision damage waiver at the rental Company counter, you can be covered for Damage to or Theft of a Rental Vehicle in a Covered Territory. Note, there are some exclusions and restrictions and not all vehicle types or rentals are covered. Coverage is not available for vehicles rented in Australia, Italy, and New Zealand. Note, this product provides secondary coverage and does not include liability coverage.

Trip Cancel Guard

Provides up to 75% reimbursement if you cancel your eligible nonrefundable flight at least two full calendar days before. Read more here.

Purchase Protection

Purchase Protection protects eligible purchases made with the Card in the event they are accidentally damaged or stolen for up to 90 days from the date of purchase.

Extended Warranty

When you use your card for eligible purchases, you can get up to one extra year added to the original manufacturer’s warranty. Applies to warranties of 5 years or less.  Some exclusions apply.
