Recall, as a Hilton HHonors member, you can select POINTS & MILES (HHonors Base Points + airline/rail miles). That is, you earn 10 HHonors Base Points and instead of the 5 bonus points, you can earn 1 mile per eligible US dollar spent on most stays.
Currently, American Airlines AAdvantage has an offer where as an AAdvantage member you can get triple AAdvantage miles (3 miles per $1) when you sign up and stay at a participating resort in Canada, Latin America or the Caribbean by November 18, 2016.
Make sure you Select Points and Miles with American Air Lines as your preferred My Way earning style option in your HHonors account preferences.
