You can then USE these points for free travel.  As a member of the program, you also have the opportunity to gain Ritz Carlton Rewards Elite Status by paying for stays at Ritz Carlton Resorts (or Marriott Resorts) or by using a Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card.  Elite status offers additional membership perks and benefits.

Ritz divides its hotels into ascending tiers, in their case five.  The tier is based on the location and the services and amenities the hotel offers.  The Hotel Tier determines the number of points required for a complimentary night.

Ways To Use Amtrak Guest Rewards Points To Book Free Travel

 

Now that you have accumulated all of these Amtrak Guest Rewards points, how can you use these points for free travel? Here are some of the ways…….

1. Use Points For Free Amtrak Travel

You can use points to book Amtrak travel.  The number of points needed for Amtrak redemption travel is determined by the number of zones you travel across. For round-trip travel, you must make two one-way redemption reservations.

Starting January 24, 2016, when redeeming points for Amtrak travel, the point cost for the trip will be based on the ticket price.  Children ages 2-12 will redeem at 50% of the redemption cost of an adult ticket, when traveling with a full-fare adult (up to two children per adult traveling).

2. Use Points For Coupons & Upgrades

You can use your points for coupons for single day passes to ClubAcela and for One-class upgrades.

3. Use Points For Hotels

You can use your points for Starwood Hotel Stay Certificates and  can redeem your points for Choice Privileges points.

4. Use Points For Car Rentals

You can use your points for Hertz gift certificates.

5. Use Points for Other Travel Rewards

You can use your points for other rewards.
