We are going back to Whistler, British Columbia during our early March spring break,  If you recall, we were just in Whistler this past summer.  We loved it and looked forward to coming back in the winter to ski.  Now we are.

We are staying at the same hotel, the Westin Resort and Spa, Whistler.  Overall we really liked the hotel and we are excited to stay again.  When we stayed this summer, we had a one bedroom suite, that was tight for my family of 5.  This time I booked 2 studio suites, each with 2 queen beds.  We will definitely have more space.

Speaking of our suites, I booked us these suites for 7 nights.  The resort is a  SPG Category 5  We used 72,000 Starwood points per suite for 7 nights.  Don’t forget we get the 5th night for free.

I actually called SPG to book these rooms as I wanted to inquire more about the size.  While I had them on the phone, I learned that had we paid cash for these suites, the price would have been $972 Canadian dollars, or about $750 US, using current conversion rates.  This summer when we stayed, the one bedroom suite was a mere $180 per night. Talk about high season!
