The usual sign-up offer for the Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Credit Card is to earn 25,000 Rapid Rewards BONUS POINTS after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening. But this initial sign-up bonus has increased to 50,000 BONUS POINTS. Note, unlike with some other bonus offers, the $99 annual fee is not waived the first year. But the $99 is worth it for 50,000 points.
The points that you earn with the card are Southwest Rapid Rewards points, which you can use for free travel.
Don’t forget, with the card, you earn 2 miles per $1 spent on airline tickets and with Rapid Rewards Hotel and Car Rental Partners and 1 mile per $1 spent on all other purchases made with your card. Also you receive 6,000 points after your cardmember anniversary, there are no foreign transaction fees and if you need to change your flight, you won’t be charged a fee.
Lastly, Southwest Airlines is a Chase Ultimate Rewards Transfer partner.
