The usual sign-up bonus with the American Express Blue Cash Preferred Card is to get $150 BACK after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the Card in the first 3 months.
The usual sign-up bonus with the American Express Blue Cash Everyday Card is to get $100 BACK after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the Card in the first 3 months.
For a limited time, there is a potential additional cash-back bonus on both cards.
With both the Preferred card and the Everyday card, you can also earn an extra 5% BACK after you use your new card to make $4,000 in eligible TRAVEL purchases on the Card within the first 6 months, up to $200.
PLUS, with both cards, when you apply by 1/11/17 earn 10% back on purchases at Amazon.com on the Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership, up to $200.
Eligible travel purchases include purchases: of airfare purchased directly from airlines (charter flights and private jet flights are NOT included), hotel stays (timeshares, banquets and events are NOT included), car rentals, cruise lines, travel agencies, and tour operators.
Don’t forget, with the Preferred/Everyday cards you earn 6%/3% Cash Back at U.S. supermarkets up to $6,000 per year in purchases (then 1%); you earn 3%/2% Cash Back at U.S. gas stations and select U.S. department stores (See the list of which department stores here) and you earn 1% Cash Back on other purchases).
