One of the benefits of owning an American Express Platinum card or Business Platinum card, is having access to American Express exclusive offers. These offers often come in the form of being able to secure tickets to hot events before the general public.
I have taken advantage of these Amex Presales in the past, most often for US Open tickets and most recently for Hamilton tickets. For the Hamilton sale, American Express Platinum holders were emailed a unique code in which they were to use to purchase their tickets the next day. Recall that I notified my subscribers about this presale the night prior to the sale.
The night that I notified my subscribers, I received many emails from Amex Platinum card holders that had not received the email from Amex. When these subscribers ultimately got through to Amex to get their code, they learned why their email never came. In their profiles, they had had “opted out” of Amex exclusive offers and promotions. You can be sure they immediately opted back in!
So note, that if you are an Amex Platinum holder, and you want access to these offers and promotions, make sure that is indicated in your profiles.
